Focus on Christ

Let's take the focus off ourselves and put it on Jesus

Walking down the street, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked, “Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?” Jesus said, “You’re asking the wrong question. You’re looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do. We need to be energetically at work for the One who sent me here, working while the sun shines. When night falls, the workday is over. For as long as I am in the world, there is plenty of light. I am the world’s Light.” (John 9:1-5 MSG)

Do You Want Fries With That?

It's our job to serve. 

If you worked at McDonalds, after receiving the customer's order, you would ask if they want fries with that. You would seek to serve their needs, even if they didn't ask you to... Because it's your job. Service. 

We are called to serve like Christ. 

We must love our neighbors and serve their needs even if they do not ask for it. 

This is what our Lord and Savior does.

Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, and poured water into a basin.
